I've been doing commissions as part of my urban sketching. Sometimes people want a painting of a place that's special to them, a first date site or favorite family eatery. I've done a variety of scenes for particular occasions or just because people love Memphis and would like a bit of the city on their walls. I do these pieces 7x10" or 6x12", depending on the shape of the subject, and both sizes are $115. They look great in a 3 or 4 inch mat to give them a little larger presence, but this is a good size to balance the line and the watercolor. Too big, and the drawing gets lost.

House Portraits

People have also asked me to paint their houses, their neighbors' houses, or homes they grew up in. These are 7x9" or 6x12", and both sizes are $90. They look great in a 3 or 4 inch mat to give them a little larger presence.

I've been asked to do a print of a friend's son, create artwork for a memorial concert on the tenth anniversary of September 11th, and make letterpress cards for the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art's Armed + Dangerous exhibition.
