Paintings of Greece

I was lucky enough to spend a summer in Greece in 2003 and have taken a couple of other painting trips there as well.  I do small pastel studies, set up on sidewalks, rocky outcroppings, shoulders of roads, and wherever else i need to be.  This is my most recent batch of paintings from those studies, and it's always a pleasure to relive a trip to somewhere wonderful by painting that place again.  I credit that summer in Greece for changing my understanding of color and light. My work changed permanently over those few months, which was a tremendous gift.
