My husband introduced me to kayaking a few years ago, and spending that much time on the water has made me look at the river in a different way. These paintings are views of the Mississippi from downtown Memphis parks, looking over towards the Arkansas flood plain and the Loosahatchie Bar.

White River Paintings
The White River in the Ozarks is a new place for me to paint. We found a lovely old hotel in Calico Rock when we went over for a kayak race, and I have spent several serene painting trips working in the mornings and evenings but getting out on the river itself in the middle of the day. The bluffs provide some stunning overlooks of the whole valley.
