M is for Memphis
An alphabetical sketchbook tour of Memphis for all ages. Memphis is always my favorite subject to sketch, and the local bookstore Burke's has been asking for a couple of years for a broader Memphis book to go with P is for Possum. There are so many fantastic things about this city that it was hard to whittle down a doable list, and I've absolutely missed some great places, but I squeezed in as many as I could. Some of the sketches are from my sketchbooks over the last few years, but I did a lot of new paintings specifically for the book. It was a fun project to put together. A love letter to my city.

P is for Possum
A highly subjective, not at all comprehensive, alphabetical celebration of the Old Forest in Memphis, Tennessee. It's an ABC sketchbook of the flora and fauna of the forest, based on my daily dog walk sketches. The bright colors and ABC format will appeal to children (and I hope some families will use it as a scavenger hunt when they walk there), but I really aimed this book at everyone who enjoys forests, sketchbooks, and nature. I grew up loving The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady in my middle school years. This book is my modern take on that appreciation and observation of one special place over many seasons. I've illustrated for other people, but this is my first book of my own. You can order a signed copy here.

Here is a radio interview I did on WKNO fm about the book if you'd like to hear the inspiration and back story.
Memoir of a House
This book began as an essay in the Summer 2023 edition of Oxford American, and I expanded it into a book later that fall. It's the story of the house I live in, which my grandparents bought in 1941, and the park nearby, and how that park saved the neighborhood.

Hints of Gladness
The catalog of my block print show at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in 2022. It has full color plates of all 21 prints, details of a number of them, and field notes about each piece. Julie Pierotti the curator at Dixon Gallery and Gardens kindly wrote a forward, and Mattie Codling, curator at WAMA, wrote the introduction. It's a good record of my most recent printmaking, a show I was very proud of. You can order a signed copy here.
