Figures and Illustrations
These are woodblocks and linoleum block prints created by hand. I carve the design into a linoleum or wooden block, roll ink onto it with a roller, lay paper on top of it, and print with a table-top press that's like a very large credit card machine. Since each is a separate work of art, there is a little variation of texture in each print. All of these prints are limited editions, numbered and signed. Most of these prints are in my online store. If you see one you like that isn't there, please email me at martha1kelly@aol.com, and I'll get it up for you.
Womanhood
I'm slowly working on a series of the different aspects of womanhood. I was inspired by Edvard Munch's prints on the same subject but wanted to present women in hopeful, powerful, and positive ways instead of the menaced and despairing women that populate Munch's world.
Girlhood
These images began as illustrations for a blessing at the birth of a baby girl, written by a friend and minister for one of her friends. Having worked on girls so long, I decided to follow through with the women's series above.

Boyhood
One of my friends asked me why I was doing all girls and no boys, and I did this commission for her of her son Oscar.
