We stayed four nights on Crete in Aghia Galini. I loved the town and our Minos hotel, with a view out over the Mediterranean. I also loved how the town spilled down the hillside to the sea. We were sightseeing a good deal, and I didn't have too much time to paint here, but here are the last two from that town, a morning sketch and an evening view from our dinner table.

So glad you found some time to sketch! I know how hard it can be sometimes when traveling, especially with other travelers. Nice work! Did you get to see any wall paintings while on Crete?
Thanks, Richard! It is a balancing act when you're traveling with others. The second one of these I did while we were all at dinner. The family's been very understanding about that. I'm also realizing how solitary the artist's pursuit is. Several days I've said, I'm off to paint now -- see you at lunch or dinner. Other days I get no work done but have good family time.
