I’m back to work after craziness at the holidays, and it feels really good. I’m still acting as part time, on site wedding planner for my sister this spring (such an exciting and happy thing), but I’ve been working on my regular schedule lately, and that’s felt really good. I’m concentrating on new water prints to go with the paintings I’ve been working on the last year and a half. It was fun to get more seriously back to painting, but prints always call my name, and I realized that body of work was paint heavy. All the pattern in water really lends itself to prints, so I’ve got several going right now that are in various stages of completion. The tall one is closest. It just needs a bit of tweaking. Then the river piece with the circular pattern is halfway, and this morning I’m tracing my drawing of the “Hurricane tree,” which I first did as an oil, to transfer onto a new block.
