This was a fixed in time project for one special summer of travel, but I had such fun doing it that I decided to put it back up for anyone who'd like to browse. Since it's in blog form, though, it begins at the earliest post. You can go month by month in the Archive column at the right and follow Mr. Darcy's big trip across the country starting in April of 2017.

I got buried under the end of my illustration project and then had to get all the way home with Mr. Darcy, so I've been absent here. I'm catching up now, still drawing scenes from our trip. It's good to be back to this project.
These sketches of Mr. Darcy are usually done from photos I take, since we're out, and he's moving around. But this was the scene one day as I glanced down from my work table, so I grabbed my watercolors and sketched it right then. The stuffed octopus was a present from good friends, and it came across the country with us.
We're here for several months away from the sofa where Mr. Darcy usually sleeps, so I decided to order him a new bed when we got here.
I'm back from my week with the sisters in time for Fathers' Day. Dad found me my first, beloved dog, was there when I adopted Mr. Darcy, and takes all my dogs (three over the years) out to the country for their very best days. My dogs and I have both been lucky to be loved and supported by him.
This blog is taking a brief vacation while I go visit my sisters for a few days. But I have photographic evidence that Mr. Darcy is happily consoling himself in my absence with a steak bone from our kind next door neighbor.
