Mr. Darcy is a shelter dog who had a hard beginning to his life but who has lived quietly in Memphis with Martha for the last several years. He hasn't traveled since he came to live with Martha, but this summer they have both embarked on a cross country journey to Washington State. These sketches will tell the story of his very first trip.

Oh, Martha, this is so wonderful! I really think you should consider seeking a publisher for it when you get home from your journey. I can totally see a Caldecott Award in your future!
